Updated: Jun 4

ᎦᏙᎲ ᎤᏰᎵᏗ ᏣᎳᎩ ᏥᏕᎭᏕᎶᏆ (ga-do-hv u-ye-li-di tsa-la-gi tsi-de-ha-de-lo-qua, Why are you taking Cherokee?) All of us struggle with motivation as we endeavor to learn the Cherokee language. Mr. Ed Fields and Ms. Mary Rae who teach the language online for the Nation published a book titled "Journeying Into Cherokee, Help and Encouragement for Learning the Cherokee Language. I read it and immediately bought copies for my grandchildren. The book is motivational, instructional, and, more importantly, a good read!

A tidbit of history: The Cherokee National Supreme Court was authorized in the fall of 1822 by a Legislative Council at New Town.
